Hillel Defeats Miami Country Day in Fourth Quarter Comeback

The Scheck Hillel boys' junior varsity basketball team upset Miami Country Day School 32-31, Thursday, December 21st.
Miami Country Day School took control of the first half of the game outscoring Hillel 15-8. After the break the Lions came back with an extra ounce of confidence and fought their way to the top. 

Scheck Hillel finished the third quarter 9-7 over Miami Country Day and continued to close the scoring gap by outscoring their opponent 13-9 in the fourth to win by one. 

Eighth-grader Daniel Abbo lead the Lions with eight points, five rebound and four steals. Sophomore Elan Roffe had seven points while freshman Isaac Almkies and eighth-grader Sky Perez contributed six. Almkies also grabbed six rebounds for the Lions. 

Scheck Hillel will travel to Ransom Everglades January 8th after the winter break for a 6p.m. start.
