Overview
The Jaime and Raquel Gilinski Hillel Ambassador Program is the first merit-based scholarship of its kind at Scheck Hillel Community School. Created in 2009, the program recognizes students in Grades 9-12 who demonstrate a commitment to learning. The number of Ambassadors named through the rigorous application is limited every year. These students serve as school ambassadors to the extended community bringing to life the Hillel mission through accomplishment and talent, whether in the classroom, on the field, on stage, or in the community. The vision of the Gilinski Hillel Ambassador Program is to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to education and Scheck Hillel, encouraging the lifelong learning and leadership that Jewish continuity requires. Specifically, the Program seeks to honor students with exceptional:
  • Leadership 
  • Confidence 
  • Resiliency and dedication 
  • Creativity
  • Sense of purpose and vision 
  • Emotional intelligence and perceptiveness
  • Passion  
Responsibilities
Gilinski Hillel Ambassadors are expected to:
  • Speak or represent Scheck Hillel at public events 
  • Attend and participate in school and community events
  • Assume a leadership role with other Gilinski Hillel Ambassadors in initiating, implementing and running a schoolwide community project, as applicable 
  • Agree to continue to serve in the future as Gilinski Hillel Ambassadors, a lifetime designation with responsibilities to the next generation
With great appreciation for the Gilinski family, mazal tov to this 14th class of Ambassadors. Scheck Hillel is blessed and proud to have so many talented, accomplished students. The number of Ambassadors for each year is limited; five of the 60 students who participated in the rigorous application process were named Ambassadors.

The application has two phases. Finalists advance to the second phase, make a live presentation and complete a panel interview. All applicants are applauded for participating in this rigorous application process.
