Admissions Process

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Scheck Hillel Community School!

List of 6 items.

  • Prior to Completing the Online Application: Submit an Inquiry & Schedule your Campus Tour

Call or email our Admissions Office to make an appointment and tour Scheck Hillel Community School. Though we love meeting families in person, a tour is not required to submit an application.
  • Phase 1: Submit Online Application / Wait Pool Form

Please submit the online application through the eHillel portal along with a non-refundable $250 application fee.
For grade levels that are at capacity, the system will redirect you to the wait pool form. This form does not incur a fee.

Please note that the completion of an application process does not guarantee space nor acceptance.

First round admissions decisions will be announced by mid-February for candidates who complete their application process by January 14, 2026.
After January 14, applications will be reviewed and admissions decisions will be provided on a rolling basis, space permitting.

Keeping in line with our core value of kavod (respect) and based on the amount of application forms received, Scheck Hillel reserves the right to close applications and/or wait pool forms throughout the admissions season.
  • Phase 2: Complete Student Checklist through eHillel Portal

Phase 2 and onward is only applicable for candidates who complete an application form (not a wait pool form).

Once the application has been submitted, each applicant will receive a checklist through the eHillel portal, where they can view the necessary documents and requirements that must be completed in order for the candidate to be considered for the next phase.
Please note that those who complete a waitpool form will not receive a checklist nor will documents be accepted until the possibility of a space becomes available.

Please upload all items to the eHillel portal as the process is completely paperless and user friendly!

The following items are required for candidate review, grade dependent:
    1.  A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate or passport.
    2.  Applicant’s current and previous school year report cards as well as score reports for standardized tests.
    3. Recommendations from the applicant’s teachers and principal/guidance counselor. These will be sent to the recommenders directly through the portal.
    4. A completed Parent Questionnaire to better understand the applicant.
    5. If entering Grades 6-10 the applicant must fill out the Student Questionnaire to learn all about them.
    6. If entering Grades 6-10 applicants must complete the “Passion in Progress” project.
    7. Parents must complete and sign the Permission for Release of Student Records form.
    8. An updated and original Immunization Form (Blue HRS form #DH680) and an original Student Health Form (Yellow HRS form #3040) from a Florida pediatrician. Out-of-state forms, foreign forms, and religious exemptions are not acceptable.

    Financial Aid Information

Financial Aid is at the heart of our mission and we strive to provide a Jewish education to all suitable candidates through our need-blind admissions process. Families of applicants entering Kindergarten and up may apply for Financial Aid. For all information regarding Financial Aid, please visit the "Affording Scheck Hillel" portion of our website.

Important: Student applications and Financial Aid applications are to be completed hand in hand, simultaneously. Please do not wait to complete the Financial Aid application until you receive an admissions decision as we adhere to a strict deadline for both. The deadline for Financial Aid applications is January 14, 2025. For specific questions, please contact Meital Aharon, Financial Aid Manager at aharon@ehillel.org
  • Phase 3: Evaluations & Interviews

All screenings and evaluations must be done in person on our campus.
  • Phase 4: Admissions Decisions & Enrollment
