Boy's JV Basketball Victorious Against Hebrew Academy
The Scheck Hillel boys' junior varsity basketball team defeated Hebrew Academy 41-36 in the first game of the night's double-header, Thursday, November 30th.
The Lions outscored the Warriors 18-7 in the first quarter to start the game. Five Hillel players put points on the board right away to help with the advantage.
Hebrew Academy played tough in the second quarter outscoring Hillel 9-6 but the Lions took back control in the third quarter going on a 12-8 run.
Three Hillel players scored in double-digits including Freshman Issac Almkies who had a team-high 12 points. Eight graders Sky Perez and David Abbo scored 11 points and 10 points respectively.
Hillel is now 2-1 so far this season and will travel to Katz Yeshiva High School Tuesday, December 5th for a 5:00 p.m. game.
