Gratitude

November is National Gratitude Month! Gratitude makes everyone happier! This Jewish core value increases self-esteem and strengthens our relationships with one another. In addition to basics like keeping a journal, here's how you and your family can practice of gratitude year-round:

  • Give back by with volunteerism or tzedakah.
  • Be a role model. Your child is watching.
  • Write thank you notes.
    Say “please” and “thank you” to others to teach your child to do the same.
  • Read together. Through storytelling, books teach new perspectives.
  • Share special moments of the day at dinner or when you say the Shema at bedtime.
