Varsity Boys' Soccer Advance to District Finals
The Scheck Hillel boys' varsity soccer team defeated Divine Savior Academy 4-3 in overtime, Tuesday, January 29.
The Lions hosted the Sharks in the District semifinals where senior David Sternberg's hattrick sealed the team's win.
The first goal of the game came after a penalty kick from junior Max Singer.
Scheck Hillel took a 3-0 lead with about 20 minutes left in regulations before Divine Savior scored three unanswered goals to tie the game.
Sternberg scored the game winning goal in the first 10 minutes of overtime.
The Lions will take on the winner of the Miami Country Day School and Hialeah Educational game, Thursday, January 31 at 7PM.
