Dear Scheck Hillel Community,
On behalf of the Board of Governors, I am writing to provide you with an update on the search for our new Head of School.
With Rabbi Leubitz’s term ending in summer 2027, the board has started the process of identifying his successor. Following a thorough due diligence process, the Board has engaged
Tradition Search Partners, a boutique firm that has worked with several large Jewish schools in South Florida. Lydia Musher, the firm’s founder, will serve as our consultant throughout the process, from initial school research to selection, and ultimately through the hiring and transition of our new Head of School.
A Head of School transition is a pivotal moment for a school, and we want to proactively include our Scheck Hillel community in the process. We ask that you participate as much and as frequently as possible to ensure that every voice is heard.
The first way to engage is to fill out this brief
Head of School Search Priorities Survey for employees, parents, board members, and the broader school community, to identify the priorities in character and focus for the next Head of School. Please complete it by April 29, 2026. We will report back to you about the survey results.
The second way to participate is to sign up to speak with Ms. Musher in small-group meetings during her upcoming campus visit on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30 so that you can contribute to her perspective about our school and community. We will send an invitation email shortly with the specific times and locations of these opportunities.
We will also offer Zoom meetings the following week for anyone unable to attend in person. Between the in-person visit and the Zoom meetings, Ms. Musher hopes to speak with every stakeholder interested in participating in the process.
We will update you in approximately one month, after Ms. Musher has conducted her initial research.
Warm regards,
 |
