Junior Varsity Boys' Basketball Stand Strong Against Sagemont

The Scheck Hillel junior varsity boys' basketball team held off The Sagemont School 36-33 in a tough contest, Thursday, February 1.
It was a battle of the Lions throughout the contest as both teams competed to be the best on the court. The players showcased both defensive and offensive skills as the teams battled for the advantage going into the half. 

The Scheck Hillel Lions at one point led by as much as 12 before Sagemont Lions fought their way back into the competition. The game came down to the final seconds as Scheck Hillel held onto their one point lead. Last second free throws by Eighth-grader Daniel Abboincreased the teams lead to three and sealed their fate. 

Abbo was the leading scorer for Hillel finishing with 15 points. Classmate Sky Perez added seven points in the win while freshman Isaac Almkies and sophomore Emmanuel Abbitol contributed six points each.
