Grade 4 Flag Football Headed to the Championship
The Scheck Hillel fourth grade flag football team defeated Lerhman 20-13 in the playoffs, Tuesday, December 5th.
The win allows the Lions to play the championship game to end the season. Eli Fischbach scored the first touchdown of the game to put Hillel up 7-0. The Lerhman School tied the game before the half to make it a competitive game. Another Lerhman touchdown and a score by Austin Ben-Shmuel for Lions tied the score again at 13.
Samuel Hirshbein scored the final touchdown of the match after picking the ball off in endzone with less than one minute left in the game. Hirshbein finished with two interceptions in the win.
The Lions will compete in the championship game that will be announced at a later date.
