Student-Athletes Named Gilinski Ambassadors

Scheck Hillel student-athletes made strides on and off the field this year as all five of the newest members of the Jaime and Raquel Gilinski Hillel Ambassador Program played a sport.

Senior Lauren Rub, a member of the girl's varsity volleyball, soccer and flag football teams was one of the student athletes named for the merit-based scholarship.

Other members included juniors Abraham Woldenberg (boy's varsity football and soccer) and Matias Lancewicki (boy's varsity soccer). sophomore Myles Gilbert (boy's basketball and tennis) and freshman Ilana Stiberman (girl's soccer).

The Jaime and Raquel Gilinski Hillel Ambassador Program is the first merit-based scholarship of its kind at Scheck Hillel Community School. Created in 2009, the program recognizes students in Grades 9-12 who demonstrate a commitment to learning. These students serve as school ambassadors to the extended community bringing to life the Hillel mission through accomplishment and talent, whether in the classroom, on the field, on stage, or in the community.
