Middle School Soccer Advances to Championship
The Scheck Hillel middle school boys' soccer team defeated Boca Christian 3-2 to advance to the Championships, Tuesday, December 11.
Seventh-grader Eduardo Feldman scored the first goal of the game to give the Lions the lead. Boca Christian answered not too long after scoring back to back goals to take the lead.
The Lions caught a break when a free kick caused the goalie to leave his post and eighth-grader Alan Bentolila tipped one into the back of the net to tie the game.
Both teams competed for the game for the remaining minutes and were unable to score sending the game into double overtime.
With not much time of the clock seventh-grader David Di Marcoberardino hit a beautiful shot down the field to win the game.
The Lions take on Hillel of Boca, Wednesday, December 12 in the Championship game held at BMA.
