Scheck Hillel Boys' Soccer Victorious in Semifinals

The Scheck Hillel boys' varsity soccer team posted a 2-0 shutout over Katz Yeshiva High School in game one of the Jewish Soccer Classic, Tuesday, November 6.
The Lions played keep away with the ball for majority of the game against the Storm. Hilel's defense kept Yeshiva from entering into Lions terrority and their offense had over 15 shots on goal. 

Both teams went into the half scoreless despite multiple attempts by the Lions. After the half junior David Birnbaum scored the first goal of the match with an assist from sophomore Leon Sion

WIth about 10 minutes left in regulation senior Alexander Almosny put on in the back of the net to put the Lions up by 2. His goal was assisted by sophomore Shalom Benchimol

Scheck Hillel will play David Posnack in the championship game Thursday, November 8 at 7:00PM. Katz Yeshiva will take on Yeshiva of Flatbush for third place Thursday, November 8 at 5:00PM.
