Middle School Volleyball Wins Home Opener
The Scheck Hillel middle school volleyball team won their home opener against Sheridan Hills 2-1, Thursday, August 30.
The Lions overcame an eight-point deficit in the first game to make it a competitive contest. Despite all their hardwork they still lost the first 21-25.
The second set started better for the Lions and with lots of great serving from seventh-graders Tali Lancewicki, Ciara Donaher and Nicole Wolak they were able to win the set 25-16.
Eighth-graders Kayla Bigelman and Atara Sredni also had a great game for the Lions. Both girls made great plays and served many points for Hillel. Sredni also had a handful of assists and did a great job at setter. Eighth-graders Zoe Alon and Andrea Berti each had a couple of kills to help the Lions get the win.
Hillel won the third and final set 15-6. Catch them back in action on Tuesday, September 4 at home. Game starts at 4:30.
