Volleyball 2-0 after defeating Yeshiva at Home

Girls varsity volleyball begins its season 2-0 for the first time after defeating Yeshiva 3-1 Tuesday, August 29th.
The Lions dropped the first set 23-25 before winning three straight to take the game (25-14, 25-13, 25-21). 

Seniors Lauren Rub and Simi Serfati had standout performances for the Lions in the win. Rub had a team high nine kills and contributed nine digs for the team while Serfati led all players with 22 digs. 

Junior Raquel Dimitri and freshman Alexa Scheck served up nine aces each to give the Lions a couple of leads throughout the game. Defensively Dimitri teamed up with junior Amanda Scheck for two blocks while adding seven and nine digs respectively. 

Both Schecks teamed up for 19 assists in the win.

The team returrns to action Tuesday, September 5th at Hialeah Educational at 5 p.m.
