Scheck Hillel Faculty Named to EdTech Innovation Cohort

Congratulations to Scheck Hillel Community School teachers Rabbi Elias Hochner (Upper School Judaic Studies) and Mrs. Nancy Penchev (Lower School Science, Design/STEM)! They have been selected to join the 2023 Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE) TeacherPreneur Initiative: a program for educators who are agents of change, embrace entrepreneurship and innovation in their professional lives and encourage it among their students.

During the year-long training program, Rabbi Hochner and Mrs. Penchev will design an EdTech learning product for our school in partnership with CAJE and MindCET: an Israeli innovation accelerator that connects startups, educators, researchers, learners, industry leaders, investors and policymakers to offer alternative solutions relevant to the learner of the digital age. 

Our teachers will participate in nine workshops leading up to a 10-day Accelerator phase in Israel. Development and Implementation phases will follow in Miami.  
 
TeacherPreneur is a transformational springboard for faculty, who will acquire cutting-edge expertise for the purpose of elevating the Scheck Hillel academic experience. Scheck Hillel is honored to participate in this project and is proud of ongoing partnerships with CAJE and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
