Engineers Win 3rd Place @ Motorola HQ

Congratulations to Sara Haime and Hailey Shechter (both ‘25) of Team Dry Air for winning 3rd Place at the Florida Centers for Initiatives in Jewish Education (CIJE) Innovation Day Pitch Event at Motorola Headquarters! All Scheck Hillel submissions will compete on the national stage on May 23.

Over 100 students from five different schools competed at the Florida event. Scheck Hillel Design/STEM teacher Sabrina Ferster (‘00) noted, “Of the 25 female engineering students that attended the event, twenty were from Scheck Hillel! We also had the largest representation of parents joining us.”

CIJE Innovation Day is the culmination of a year of coursework in the CIJE-Tech high school engineering curriculum. Students are tasked with conceptualizing, creating, and engineering their own inventions. The national award ceremony will be live-streamed on May 23 at 3:15 PM here
