SCHECK HILLEL COMMUNITY SCHOOL NAMES RABBI SHLOMO SPRUNG AS RABBINIC HEAD

Scheck Hillel Community School’s Board of Governors shared the following message with families on Wednesday, May 26.

We are pleased to announce that the Board of Governors has named Rabbi Shlomo Sprung as Scheck Hillel Community School’s new Rabbinic Head, effective as of July 1, 2021.

On behalf of the Board of Governors and our entire school community, we express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ezra Levy for his years of service and commitment to our students and families.

We also want to thank the parents, staff members, and Board members who spent countless hours assisting the Rabbinic Head of School Search Committee in making its recommendation.

Rabbi Sprung is now charged with guiding us on our mission, safeguarding our Jewish values and elevating our love of Eretz Yisrael. He will serve as the ultimate Halachic authority on our campus. Rabbi Sprung, a Scheck Hillel alumnus, will lead our community’s spiritual life and religious mission and will further enrich our student experience, family programming, alumni relations, faculty and staff connections, and community outreach. He will continue to teach in the classroom, inspiring our next generation of Jewish leaders.

We look forward to welcoming Rabbi Sprung to Scheck Hillel's senior leadership and, together with Head of School Vanessa Donaher, could not be more excited about the future.
