Capstone Speaker Shares Lessons Learned

Seniors in the Capstone "Introduction to Adulthood" class on Monday welcomed Philip Solomon, a Scheck Hillel parent and member of the school's Board of Governors. Mr. Solomon recounted the stories that have shaped his business and life journeys, emphasizing the importance of applying lessons from past experience. Early in his career, while working in his father's manufacturing company, he learned the value of brand equity as an essential building block of business - along with other best practices that help companies compete and succeed. He advised students "not to swing at every pitch, because fear of missing out (FOMO) can turn into joy of missing out (JOMO)."

Conceived and developed by Class of 2020 seniors Michael Berenstein and Alex Wagenberg, "Introduction to Adulthood" includes intimate conversations with leaders from a variety of industries. The course is part of Capstone Senior Seminar: a signature program designed to prepare seniors for the “real world” awaiting them after graduation

Many thanks to Mr. Solomon for sharing his wisdom and experiences.
