Girls' Flag Football Win Season Opener

The Scheck Hillel varsity girls' flag football team defeated Hebrew Academy 27-0 in their season home opener, Monday, March 25.
The Lions and the Warriors both battle hard in the first half of the game, grabbing back to back interceptions and stopping crucial plays at the goal line.

Sophomore Tatiana Wainer scored the first touchdown of the game for Scheck Hillel giving them a 6-0 lead going into the half. When the teams resumed play senior quarterback Maya Feuer had a tremendous second half scoring three touchdowns off of short runs. Senior Julie Eibinder and sophomore Anna Freiman each scored an extra point for the Lions.

Wainer and Feuer also made big plays on defense both coming away with three and two interceptions respectively. Feuer's second interception included a 25-yard return.

Wainer finished with six receptions while Eibinder, Freiman and sophomore Nicole Feldman each finished with two.

The Lions take on Hialeah Educational at home, Monday, April 1 in their next matchup. Gametime is at 5PM.
