Scheck Hillel Community School's Ambassadors of the Hebrew Language
Grade 6 students Hailey Shechter, Rachel Azulay, Lavi Moshe, Adina Heinrich and Lior Ovadia were selected to represent Scheck Hillel Community School as Young Ambassadors of the Hebrew Language, at an event hosted by Donna Klein Jewish Academy last week. Our Ambassadors spent the day with peers from other Jewish day schools speaking exclusively in Hebrew, participating in discussions led by Hebrew teachers and Shlichim, and deepening awareness of Hebrew as a communication tool for youth from different schools and backgrounds. Back home at Scheck Hillel, our Hebrew Ambassadors will continue to advocate for a strong connection with Israel and its language. Upper School Hebrew Language Department Chair and Hebrew Teacher Ofra Mor led the visit: "These students have distinguished themselves through achievement in Hebrew language, leadership and initiative."
