Kara Kersting is a Colorado native who cherishes teaching, because it has made her conscious of the impact teachers can have on the lives of their students. Her mission as an educator is to provide the best possible learning environment for her students. She teaches “with passion and enthusiasm so that children develop a desire to become lifelong learners.” Kara is keenly aware that teaching gives her the opportunity “to work on hearts and minds, to guide children in becoming empowered, literate, engaged, and creative human beings.“ Kara enjoys fishing, paddle boarding, reading and spending time with her friends and family.

Karen Prince is a long-time educator and mother of three children, all of whom attended Scheck Hillel. Shecame to education because she loves to watch children develop and mature. She takes great satisfaction in seeing a student’s progress at the end of the year, and knowing she was a part of it. She teaches at Scheck Hillel because for her it was literally like coming home. Outside of school she likes to cook, read and hike.
