The Scheck Hillel varsity volleyball team lost its match at home against Somerset Pines 0-3, Monday, October 2nd.
The Panthers came out swinging in the first set dominating the Lions 25-7.
Scheck hillel took 6-0 lead to start the second set. A few errors allowed Somerset Pines to close the gap bring the score to 10-9 in favor of Hillel. The Panthers ended up winning set 25-18.
The third set was also a tough one for the Lions as they went down 8-25.
Senior Lauren Rub had three kills for the Lions and added a team-high 12 digs while senior Shirel Wainer contributed two blocks. Freshman Tatiana Wainer added two kills and teamed up with sophomore Olga Benacerraf for a block.
The Lions' next match up is against Doctors Charter at home, Tuesday, October 3nd.
