Welcoming Our New Head of School

Dear Scheck Hillel Families, Faculty and Staff,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I announce the appointment of Rabbi Ari Leubitz as Scheck Hillel Community School’s Head of School, starting with the 2022-2023 school year. Rabbi Leubitz was selected after an exhaustive national search conducted by our Head of School Search Committee. He is an innovative educator with top credentials, as well as Head of School experience, and a passion for Modern Orthodox Jewish education.
Rabbi Leubitz’s extensive experience as a Head of School in multiple institutions will further the School’s ultimate mission: “to educate and inspire our students to become exemplary global citizens with an enduring Jewish identity and a commitment to the State of Israel.” His demonstrated success and “team first” leadership style will take our talented faculty and staff, and most importantly our students to even greater educational achievement.
The Board, Rabbi Leubitz, Rabbi Shlomo Sprung, and Mr. Craig Carpentieri are all committed to ensuring that the transition of Head of School to Rabbi Leubitz will maximize success for Scheck Hillel.
On behalf of the Board of Governors, I express our deepest gratitude to Mr. Carpentieri for his leadership as Interim Head of School this year, and we look forward to continued success here at Scheck Hillel as he resumes his role as Chief Academic Officer. With the addition of Rabbi Leubitz to our leadership team, Scheck Hillel is poised to see tremendous growth in the years to come.
I want to thank our Scheck Hillel leadership, faculty, and staff, for their tireless efforts on behalf of our students, as well as the members of the Head of School Search Committee who invested hundreds of hours to guide our search. Community participation made this a shared, inclusive process and, for that, I am especially grateful.
I invite you to welcome Rabbi Leubitz and his family. Over the next few months, he will spend time getting to know our community, and there will be opportunities for our families, faculty, and staff to get to know him better. Details will follow. Please find Rabbi Leubitz’s bio here
Finally, I want to thank each of you for choosing Scheck Hillel and partnering with us as we educate your children, our students, as the rising generation of Jewish leaders. Wishing you and your families a meaningful Pesach. Chag kasher v'sameach.
On Behalf of the Board of Governors,

Isaac Marcushamer
Chair, Board of Governors
