Athletics at Scheck Hillel
Varsity Girls' Volleyball Pull Off Five Set Win.
The Scheck Hillel varsity girls' volleyball team defeated Doctors Charter School 3-2 Thursday, September 27.
The Lions took a 2-0 lead over the Hawks to give themselves the advantage for the win but Doctors Charter didn't make it easy for them. The Hawks battled hard in the next two sets forcing the game to go to five sets.
The final set of the match turned in favor of the Lions who won 15-13 in a nailbiting finish freshman Alexa Scheck played a great overall game against Doctors Charter to help the Lions get the win. She finished with 15 assists, three aces and two digs. Junior Shira Sredni had a team high six kills and added four aces and eight digs. Junior Olga Benacerraf contributed four kills and two digs.
The Lions return to action to take on Dade Christian Wednesday October 3 at 5PM.
