The Scheck Hillel middle school football team opened the season with a 0-14 loss to Palmer Trinity, Wednesday, September 5.
The Lions played a great defensive game against the Falcons to open the season. Eighth-grader Moises Sutton intercepted a pass early on in the game to help the Lions gain a momentum. Sutton also had a strong game at quarterback for Hillel going about 4-for-7 on the field.
Seventh-grader Nolan Senker was phenomenal on defense for the Lions. He made many tackles and broke up a few plays from the Falcon offense.
Hillel's second interception of the game came from eighth-grader David Lalo. Lalo also caught a reception for the Lions while classmate Max Klinger gained a few yards from kickoff returns.
The Lions return to action to take on Boca Christian next Thursday, Septemeber 13 at 4PM.
