Athletics at Scheck Hillel
Student-Athletes of the Week 8/27-8/31
Varsity golfer seventh-grader Diego Azar and varsity girls' volleyball player senior Amanda Scheck won the Male and Female Athlete of the Week Awards, Friday August 31st.
Each week the coaches and athletic staff vote for one male and one female athlete of the week based on athletic performance. Azar and Scheck are the first winners for the 2018-19 seasons. Find below a small summary of their accomplishments this week.
(Golf) Diego Azar: He was the top finisher in both of Hillel's golf matches this week. Finished with a low score of 39 against both Divine Savior and Miami Country Day School.
(Volleyball) Amanda Scheck: She played in two games this week. Scheck had a great game against Hebrew Academy as a setter finishing with 32 assists and 2 aces in the win. She also had a good overall game in the team's loss to Miami Springs.
