Scheck Hillel Welcomes High School Director

North Miami Beach- Scheck Hillel Community School welcomes Christopher Johnson as its new Director of High School, bringing expertise from his most recent role as High School Principal of the prestigious American School of Valencia, Spain.

"Scheck Hillel’s priority to attract faculty and staff of the highest caliber extends throughout our school; it is central to our commitment to continued student and school advancement," said
Vanessa Donaher, Scheck Hillel's Head of School. "As such, I’m eager to welcome Chris Johnson to our Scheck Hillel campus and community."

Mr. Johnson's quality leadership and instruction are exemplified by his impressive accomplishments during his years working in the United States and Europe. In 2011, he independently taught and developed a curriculum for Arizona students who tested into the top 3% of a district of more than 50,000 students at a National Blue Ribbon Award winning high school. In Spain, he worked in the Spanish Regional Government and taught and mentored licensed Spanish public school teachers to improve their English, classroom practice, and qualify for the bilingual teacher certificate awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Mr. Johnson has a master’s degree in educational leadership as well as a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.
