Athletics at Scheck Hillel
Boys' Tennis Advance to Regionals
The Scheck Hillel boys' and girls' tennis teams competed in the final day of Districts, Tuesday, April 17.
All five singles boys advanced to the finals against Miami Country Day but lost to the Spartans. Sophomores Myles Gilbert and Michael Berenstein defeated Hebrew Academy in the boys' No. 1 doubles semifinals 6-0, 6-0 before losing in the finals to Miami Country Day.
Junior Alexa Cohen took on Miami Country Day in the girls' No. 1 singles final, losing 6-7, 5-7. Junior Raquel Dimitri competed in the No. 2 spot and also lost to Miami Country Day 2-6, 3-6. The girls' finished fourth to end their season.
The boys' team finished second overall to advanced to Regionals which will take place Tuesday, April 24 at Crandon Park. The matches start at 3PM.
