Boys' Junior Varsity Basketball Win at Home
The Scheck Hillel boys' varsity basketball team defeated Doctors Charter School 41-31 in game one of Thursday's double-header.
Doctors Charter had the advantage over Hillel in the first quarter 8-6 but the Lions took control in the second, outscoring the Hawks 11-9.
The third quarter stayed in favor of the Lions who put up nine points on the Hawks. Multiple players scored points for Hillel in the final quarter allowing them to go on a 15-8 run over Doctors Charter.
Leading all scorings for the night was eighth-grader David Abbo who ended the game with 14 points. Freshman Issac Almkies also scored double-digits for Hillel finishing with 13 points.
Other key players for the Lions were sophomore Elan Roffe (six points) and freshman Davide Roffe (four points).
Scheck Hillel takes on Somerset Central on Monday, December 11th on the road at 3:30 p.m.
