Lions' Win Double-Header at Home

The Scheck Hillel varsity basketball team defeat Dade Christian () in the second game of Monday's double-header, November 27th.
The Lions took a 12-0 lead early in the game before the Crusaders got on the board. Scheck Hillel ended the first quarter up 18-6. 

Junior Aaron Ben-Shmuel scored eight of those points to give the Lions a comfortable start.  After not scoring in the first quarter junior Yaniv Assraf came through for the Lions in a big way leading the team with 15 points. 

The second quarter was another big one for the Lions who entered the half with a 35-12 advantage over the Crusaders. Hillel outscored Dade Christian 18-7 in the third quarter starting the fourth and final period up 53-19. 

The Crusaders took control of the fourth quarter outscoring the Lions 9-2 but it wasn't enough and the Lions took home to win. 

Junior Andres Bacal added eight points for the Lions while sophomore Jaime Acherman contributed six. Senior Benjamin Brener and sophomore Saul Birmaher each scored five points for the Lions in the win. 

Scheck Hillel takes on MAST Academy in another double-header, Tuesday, November 28th at 7:30 p.m.
