Welcome, New Faculty! Part II

Meet the new faculty members joining Scheck Hillel in the Juda and Maria Diener Lower School. B'Hatzlacha - Wishing you success!  

STEPHANIE BRODSKY, M.ED.
Scheck Hillel Community School is pleased to welcome Stephanie Brodsky, M.Ed., as a Lower School teacher. She joins us from Sunny Isles Beach K-8 School, where she was a graduate intern. 

“I am excited to begin teaching at Scheck Hillel and to be working with such a close-knit community of educators and people who want only the best for each individual student. Although this year has been full of surprises and uncertainty, I know that I am provided with the support and resources needed for a triumphant virtual learning experience with my new students. I am excited to start teaching, and hopefully teach in person when it is safe to do so!”

LEONARDA LEMOINE, M.A. 
Scheck Hillel is pleased to welcome Leonarda Lemoine, M.A., as an Academic Services teacher. She brings extensive experience in all facets of special education, including teaching, assessment and curriculum development. 

“I am thrilled to be joining the Scheck Hillel team. As a new teacher at the school, I have experienced an incredibly warm welcome from staff. Administrators and teachers are not only highly competent and professional, but also very supportive. I am happy to have become part of this beautiful family.”

ELISE LEVINSON, B.ED.
Scheck Hillel Community School is pleased to welcome Elise Levinson, B.Ed., as a Lower School teacher. She joins us from Bakersfield Public School, in Toronto, Canada, where she taught Grade 5 and was the Special Education Resource Teacher.

“I am so excited to become a part of the Scheck Hillel family! I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada (GO RAPTORS!) and recently moved to Miami. My goal as a teacher is to encourage my students to be the best versions of themselves and to exceed their own expectations. I am looking forward to helping your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. I cannot wait for this school year, which surely promises to bring with it many new experiences and challenges.”

SHANY MARIANOVSKY ‘08, M.A.
Scheck Hillel Community School is pleased to welcome back home alumna Shany Marianovsky ‘08 as an Academic Services clinician. She joins us from Shefa School in New York, where she was a special education teacher. 

“I’m excited to be coming back to Hillel after all these years but this time as an educator. I love teaching because I love children and seeing  them grow and progress as students and individuals in society. I am passionate about what I do, and enjoy creating engaging lessons tailored to each child’s needs. In my role as an Academic Services Clinician, I look forward to getting to know the students and supporting them emotionally and academically.”

RIVKE PIANKO, M.A.
Scheck Hillel Community School is pleased to welcome back home Rivke Pianko, M.A. a former Scheck Hillel student - as a Lower School teacher. She joins us from The Jewish Academy in Hollywood, Florida, where she taught sixth grade. 

“I am extremely honored to be joining the faculty of Scheck Hillel teaching fifth grade Language Arts and Math, where I once was also a fifth grader! I am excited about plugging into Scheck Hillel’s vast network of educators and families who are connected to Jewish life.  Teaching is a great passion of mine and I look forward to sharing a love of learning with my students every day!”

MARISSA STEINBERG, B.S.
Scheck Hillel Community School is pleased to welcome Marissa Steinberg, B.S., as a Lower School teacher. She joins us from her student-teaching placement at Tropical Elementary, and is a 2020 graduate in elementary and special education from the University of Miami. 

“I am so thrilled to begin my teaching career at Scheck Hillel. I am excited to be at a school with such a strong sense of community and commitment to providing best practices for academic learning. I look forward to meeting my students and co-workers in person, soon.” 

MAGDA “MAGGIE” VAZANA
Scheck Hillel Community School is pleased to welcome back Maggie Vazana as an Early Childhood Education classroom assistant. She joins us from Brauser Maimonides Academy; before that, she had taught at Scheck Hillel for 18 years.  

“I am thrilled to join the Scheck Hillel team once again and I look forward to sharing my love of teaching with all of the students and getting to know each and every one of you.”
