Online Workshops Focus on Job Application Tips

Scheck Hillel Community School's Career Paths & Job Application workshop with Ms. Cristina Florez focused today on "how to find out what you'd be good at" when seeking career guidance and internship opportunities. In the first session on March 30, students learned the features of Focus2, a free Scheck Hillel Community School resource that helps self-assess strengths and interests to find compatible jobs, majors, and colleges. These High School enrichment sessions with Ms. Florez are held daily at 1:30 PM and will continue through Thursday via Scheck Hillel's virtual instruction program.

In March, Scheck Hillel Community School transformed its entire academic program for more than 1,100 students into a virtual school as an effort to keep the campus and community healthy and to uphold its commitment to continued academic excellence. With this nearly overnight transition, students and teachers are continuing to maximize learning while not physically on campus. On March 12, Scheck Hillel was the first independent school in South Florida to announce its move to virtual instruction.
