Grade 1-5 AR Challenges Are On!
The current Accelerated Reading (AR) challenge is ongoing through April 2. From April 3-19, the Spring Break Fact and Fiction challenge is on! Log on to your class page to access Accelerated Reader.
January 6-April 2: “Reading Lifts You Up! Hot Air Balloon”
Grade 1: Read and pass 21 books
Grade 2: Read and pass 14 books
Grade 3: Read and pass 140,000 words
Grade 4: Read and pass 210,000 words
Grade 5: Read and pass 280,000 words
April 3-April 19: Spring Break Fact and Fiction
Grades 1-5: Read two books about the same topic, one fiction and one nonfiction. For example, you could read “Dolphins at Daybreak” by Mary Pope Osborne, and also read National Geographic Kids “Dolphins” by Melissa Stewart. Create a comparison chart of the two books. Have fun as you continue to practice your reading at home.
