Scheck Hillel Launches Chapter of Science National Honor Society

The inaugural chapter of the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) at Scheck Hillel was launched this week, with the acceptance of 40 members and election of officers. Upper School science teacher and chapter advisor Luis Comulada congratulated the group, adding that members will be involved in science tutoring, peer review of Science Fair projects for the Middle School, science competitions, guest lectures, community cleanups, and many more science-related projects. The following members were elected as chapter officers:

President: Denise Yudovich '21
Vice President: Noa Bentata '21
Secretary: Rebeca Kamhazi '21
Treasurer: Noah Givner '21
Public Relations Officer: Yael Algranatti '21

Membership in the SNHS is for high school students enrolled in an Honors or AP science course who maintain a B+ average across all science courses. SNHS is a scientific organization that encourages young thinkers: the future of industry, research, and scientific exploration for America.
