Ways to Give
A monetary gift is one of the most common ways to fund Scheck Hillel Community School’s Kulanu Scholarship Fund and Campus Expansion project. Your one-time gift is tax deductible for the current year and can be paid by check or credit card, or in cash. Hillel welcomes Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Checks should be made payable to Scheck Hillel Community School and mailed to:
19000 NE 25th Avenue
North Miami Beach, FL 33180
We can develop a payment schedule to accommodate your individual needs. You may make payments during Scheck Hillel’s fiscal year, which closes June 30. All gifts, however, must be received by June 30, in order to be recognized in our Kol Hillel year-end edition.
Donating securities is often your most tax advantageous way to give, particularly if they have appreciated in value. This applies to stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other liquid assets. If the stock has been held long-term (more than one year), you may not have to pay U.S. capital gains tax when the gift is made and may be allowed a tax deduction for the full value of the stock at the time of transfer.
Making a planned gift can be an integral part of your estate planning. Scheck Hillel Community School works with a philanthropic gift counselor on such tax-related matters to engage with your attorney, accountant and tax advisor to maximize the positive financial impact for yourself and for your heirs. Examples of effective planned gifts include Charitable Lead Trusts and life-income gifts. We can help you identify options that will benefit your family and Hillel.
You may increase your support to Scheck Hillel Community School if you and/or your spouse's employer participate in a Matching Gift Program. Complete a Matching Gift Form from your company's Human Resources Office and return it to Hillel along with your pledge card and your gift.
An endowment is the establishment of a fund where a portion of the fund is used annually for a specific purpose while the rest of the fund remains invested in perpetuity.
