School will be open Monday, August 29, 2016. After-school activities remain as originally scheduled; this includes athletic practices, Grade 3-5 auditions for Beauty and the Beast Jr. and our varsity volleyball game.
We continue to monitor the storm Invest 99-L. For campus updates, please check our website (eHillel.org) and LinkLine (305.931.2831 x88). Please also stay tuned to broadcast weather reports and be sure that your family takes steps to remain safe in expected rain. As always, we will keep you informed. Our shared priority is the well-being of our children, so stay connected and have a safe Sunday. We look forward to seeing you Monday. Shavua tov!
At Scheck Hillel, we take great pride in our alumni’s accomplishments. We strongly believe that the solid Jewish and secular foundation provided at our school guides alumni throughout their lives and forms the basis for their numerous achievements.
As a school we want to establish long-lasting alumni connections and provide valuable services that will enhance alumni’s personal and professional lives. We recognize that alumni are our biggest advocates and thus help increase school pride and admissions. Our alumni can also help us reach our fundraising goals, which in turn allows us to continue to provide a top-quality Jewish education to our current students.
If you have not done so already, please fill out the alumni form so that we can keep in touch with you. Also, please keep us informed about the amazing things that you are doing by writing to kirsch@eHillel.org. We would love to feature you in an upcoming Kol Hillel or on the alumni section of our Web site. Don’t forget to like us on Facebook too. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Associate Director of Development/Alumni Affairs
More than 150 alumni and friends of Scheck Hillel Community School gathered June 9 for the second annual AlumNight. Classes from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s reunited with friends and longtime and new faculty and staff. Many of the group are now Scheck Hillel parents or teachers themselves!
Fun was had by all at Strike 10 in Gulfstream Park. People reunited, bowled, played pool, air hockey and foosball, and shared food and drinks. Alumni ranged from the Class of 1978 to many of our newest graduates from the Class of 2016.
"Smiles were seen throughout the evening and everyone had a great time," said Joana (Wagenberg) Kirsch( '95), Scheck Hillel's associate director of development/alumni relations.
Thank you to all alumni and friends who attended. Look for details to save the dates for more upcoming alumni events! Look at the album here.
