Thanks to all 10 teams who participated in our second annual Chopped competition. Teams comprised of students, parents, grandparents, faculty and staff had the chance to compete for the title of “Scheck Hillel’s Top Chef 2015”. Our panel of judges and spectators were impressed with the delicious and creative ways the teams used the four secret ingredients: 1 orange, 2 carrots, 1 cup of cooked rice and sunflower seeds. The winning team, Samuel Levy (Grade 6), Joey Rimon (Grade 6), Arie Sternberg (Grade 6) and Scheck Hillel dad Jorge Levy, impressed us all with their version of rice balls stuffed with cheese. The winners won beautiful INVICTA watches. The runners up were Raquel Dimitri (Grade ##), Jayme Podgorowiez (Grade ##), Noa Markowitz (Grade #), and Upper School Math Teacher, Erica Farago presented an interesting and beautiful combination of sushi and frittata and won tickets to Planet Air Sports!
