We The People: Veterans Day On Campus

Schoolwide, our students honored veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces in a variety of ways this week. Grade 3 opened a Lower School assembly with a beautiful rendition of the song "We the People;" Grades 3-5 participated in a Q&A with U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Scheck Hillel Athletic Trainer Samuel Espinosa, and Navy Police Officer Kassandra Baluja, sister of Kesher’s Tania Baluja. Students in Kathryn Geiman's Kindergarten class wrote thank you letters to her brother: a Navy Lieutenant. Upper School dressed in red, white and blue, and, in that division, teacher-led discussions, articles and videos prompted students to write reflections about Veterans Day and showing gratitude to our heroes.
