Varsity Boys' Soccer Players Honored at Miami Herald Athletic Awards

Junior Max Singer and sophomore Leon Sion were honored as Boys' Soccer First Team All-Dade members during the Miami Herald All-Dade Athletic Awards Ceremony, Thursday, May 23.
Sion, who is a midfielder for the Lions, finished the season with 10 goals and 12 assists. He scored the winning goal in the last two minutes of the Regional semi-finals to help the team get past rivals Miami Country Day School and into the finals.

As one of the teams best defensive players, Singer finished with four goals and four assists. He had a big game in the District semifinals where he scored the deciding goal during regulation with a penalty kick. This happened during an elimination game to reach district finals.
This honor has served as motivation for both boys going into next season with hopes to making it all the way to a State Championship.
