Girls' Flag Football Remain Undefeated

The varsity girls' flag football team defeated Hialeah Educational 33-0, Monday, April 1.
The Lions scored five touchdowns off two passes and three runs. The first two touchdowns were scored by sophomore Tatiana Wainer. On the first one she received a 6-yard pass from senior quarterback Maya Feuer who also scored the extra point. 

The second was a 10-yard touchdown pass from the duo with the extra point scored by sophomore Ana Freiman. The last three touchdowns were scored by Feuer. Each touchdown was scored by a 2, 4 and 3-yard run respectively. 

Senior Gabriella Bentolila had a big play on defense for the Lions picking up an interception which she returned for 25-yards to set up Feuer's final touchdwon. 

Leading the defense was sophomore Sophia Petreanu with five flag pulls. Other key players on the defense were sophomores Wainer (3), Aliya DelCastillo (3), and Lilian Levy (2).

Winning was not the only highlight of the game as the girls celebrating their three seniors for playing in their final home game.

The Lions play their final game of the season on the road against Sagemont, Wednesday, April 3 at Tequesta Trace Park. Game time is at 4PM.
