  Scheck Hillel Faculty and Staff have inspired students to embody their personal best since the school’s doors opened in 1970, marking distinction and excellence as signature aspects of Scheck Hillel Community School throughout the generations. 

  
  

  Professional learning is core to academic excellence. Faculty and Staff continuing to advance their craft through seminars, workshops or degree-seeking programs is fundamental to Scheck Hillel’s mission to educate our students and leads to academic success. Just as we maximize every child's potential, help them explore their passions and foster their identity, we support and encourage the professional growth of every Faculty and Staff member.

• Israel Trip

  Scheck Hillels’ Grade 9 Metayel B’Israel (Trip to Israel) is one of the school’s cornerstones. Through this experience, Scheck Hillel deepens our student’s commitment to Judaism, the Jewish people and Medinat Israel as it speaks directly to our mission.

   

  Historically, the Israel Trip has been one of the school’s staples for over 20 years. As part of the curriculum, the trip is designed to bring classroom learning to a real-life landscape and setting. This journey allows students to see Israel, and without this trip they might not otherwise have the opportunity to do so. Through this trip of a lifetime, students experience religious ceremonies, visit historic landmarks and study the fundamentals of Judaism and Jewish life. All this reinforces the commitment to Judaism and Israel that Jewish continuity requires, having a lasting impact on our students’ lives, the lives of their families and on the broader community they are part of.

• Merit Scholarships

  Scheck Hillel is the place for students with a passion for academic excellence, a commitment to core values, a love of the arts, a desire to grow and nurture their Jewish identity. It’s where dreams are ignited and achievement is valued.

   

  Through multi-year merit scholarships of up to 100% full tuition in three categories (Academics, Character IMO Sholem Benchimol z’l, and the Arts), Scheck Hillel celebrates outstanding academic achievement, exemplary character traits and remarkable artistic talent. The scholarships are meant to be granted for rising Grade 9 and Grade 10 students who achieve at the highest level.
