Studies demonstrate that when parents are involved
in their children’s education and schools:
- Kids earn better grades and score higher in test
- Kids have better social skills
- Kids improve behavior
- Kids are more positive in their attitude toward school
Parents should be involved because
involvement can make a dramatic difference for the whole family.
The mission of HIP/PTA (Hillel Involved Parents) is to bring parents, teachers and administrators together to enrich the school community and to raise funds to enhance Scheck Hillel Community School programs and campus improvements that benefit all of our children.
Each new school year brings many opportunities for parents to volunteer in a variety of events and activities, including the Scholastic Book Fair, Teacher Appreciation, Mishloach Manot Exchange, School Supply Sale, Class Parents & Grade Leads, Box Tops for Education and New Parent Ambassadors, among others.
HIP/PTA and the school's leadership are dedicated to a wonderful partnership and genuine commitment to learning and partnering even more closely this year by planning together family programs such as Café Hillel, 2013 Annual Event, Sukkot Homecoming Game and the Chanukah Community Event.
HIP/PTA holds quarterly informational and educational meetings on campus in the Kunin Library Media Center, and committees meet on a per need basis. All Hillel parents always are invited and encouraged to attend meetings, join committees and lend support to help Hillel fulfill its mission to provide our children with the finest Jewish education.
